Login, Signup and Password Recovery Wireframe

A compact four-page authentication prototype with sign-in, account creation, reset access, and welcome screens.

Introduction

COMMON keeps authentication focused: visible field labels, a single primary action, and quieter links for account creation and access recovery. Sign in and Create account lead to a welcome page. This is a visual prototype: credentials are not submitted and no account is created.

Make the account task unambiguous

The four pages distinguish returning users, new accounts, access recovery and the welcome state. Keep field labels, the primary action and secondary navigation clear. Use this pattern for a SaaS sign-in, membership portal or internal account flow.

Do not enter real credentials in a shared prototype. The forms demonstrate interface structure and screen links, not identity verification, password storage or session management.

Design errors without inventing security behavior

Add representative states for invalid input, a pending request, unsuccessful sign-in, a recovery confirmation and an expired recovery link. Error wording, account-enumeration risk, rate limits and recovery security require a deliberate production policy.

Show where help and back navigation belong. Visible labels, keyboard focus, password-manager compatibility and accessible error associations must be implemented and tested in the final application.

Extend the flow after authentication

Link to a separate onboarding concept rather than making one sign-in screen carry every account preference. Compare the profile and preferences wizard.

Example edit request: Add a recovery-link-expired page with a Request another link action. Preserve the existing four pages and element IDs; propose a validated diff. Review the links and export .rvv for continued editing. Read AI setup and review before sharing document content with a provider.
